From “For” to “With”
While well-intentioned, the posture of serving by doing "for the community" has allowed the Church to serve the poor at a distance. ACTS is focused on a lasting commitment to doing life "with the community". ACTS churches commit to ongoing change and impact in comparison to a quick fix strategy. ACTS churches adopt a posture of humility while seeking mutual transformation instead of being unaware of our own brokenness and isolated in our responses to poverty.

See the Church as an Asset and an Ally
Within the church, more congregants will be engaged in community ministry. Current ministries will experience new life through incremental shifts toward holistic and relational approaches. Scarcity mindsets, where they exist, will be replaced by abundance mindsets. The ACTS process is built so that communities will again see the local church as an asset and an ally. Communities will begin to reflect tangible evidence of the in-breaking of the Kingdom and human flourishing.
The ACTS vision is to create abundant communities where the church engages with people in poverty in ways that promote dignity, forge transformational relationships and bring to life the God-given gifts of all people.
